Definition of Purgatory

Plural: purgatories

1. An intermediate state after death for expiatory purification; specifically: a place or state of punishment wherein, according to Roman Catholic doctrine, the souls of those who die in God’s grace may make satisfaction for past sins and so become fit for heaven.

The Words of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Election of Church Leaders

11. And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

But the Antichrists Did the Opposite

How the Antichrists Chose the Leaders for These Evil Doctrines in the Roman Catholic Churches

• All the bishops, priests, cardinals, including all popes—dead or alive—were never called by God.

• If God had called them, they would not have “fallen away” from Jesus Christ.

• The papacy appoints priests, bishops, and cardinals. None of these roles are God’s calling. They are handpicked based on perceived good works.

The Role of Catholic Bishops and Archbishops

• The term archbishop originated from the apostate papacy.

• In the Catholic Church, bishops and archbishops rank below cardinals.

• Becoming a bishop is the third and fullest level of the Sacrament of Holy Orders:

  1. Deacon

  2. Priest

  3. Bishop

• A bishop who becomes a cardinal is not ordained but chosen by the pope, who also appoints bishops.

Bishop Responsibilities:

1. A bishop oversees a diocese (a collection of local parishes).
   An archbishop oversees an archdiocese, a larger or more important diocese (e.g., Denver, Hartford, Miami, San Francisco).

   • Parish = town/city → Priest = mayor

   • Diocese = state/province → Bishop = governor

   • Archdiocese = large state → Archbishop = senior governor

   • Pope = president (governing the Church globally)

2. Each bishop must visit the pope (Holy Father) every five years and report on his diocese.
   Bishops within a country meet at least once a year in what’s called an episcopal conference.

3. Bishops administer Confirmation (a rite introduced by the papacy, not by Christ) and Holy Orders.
   Only bishops can ordain deacons, priests, or bishops.
   They also visit parishes and oversee meetings and administration.
   Priests are forbidden to marry.
   The papacy introduced sisterhoods, where women take vows of celibacy and serve under Reverend Mothers, overseeing convents and assisting priests.

4. There are three main types of Catholic nuns in various orders worldwide.
   Nuns vow celibacy, poverty, and obedience.
   They serve bishops and priests, following the authority of both bishops and Reverend Mothers.

5. Each bishop governs his diocese independently—not as a papal ambassador—but as a supposed “authentic successor of the apostles,” while the pope claims succession from Peter.

6. Readers, you can now see how these roles and titles come closer to what is called antichrist—self-imposed, blasphemous titles attributed to these cursed leaders.

7. 1 John 2:1–2

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

But the antichrists act as intercessors for cardinals, bishops, and priests, even giving Mary the title “Queen of Heaven.”

Mary, the Mother of Jesus Christ

The antichrists crowned Mary as queen of heaven, but we must ask:

How did the papacy get the idea to make Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ, the “Queen of Heaven”? Has anyone from the Catholic Church been to heaven to do this crowning?

This can only be false and antichrist. It’s blasphemy of the highest kind.
How can a mere man on earth assign someone in heaven a title, especially in violation of God’s word?

• The papacy canonizes dead bodies to sainthood.

• But the Bible teaches that a believer becomes a saint through the blood of Jesus, not by man-made decrees.

• The papacy also introduced the wearing of relics (bones or objects of the dead).

• The pope resides in the Vatican, which is not part of any government. (More on this later.)

Part Two: Daniel 7:25 – “And shall wear out the saints of the Most High”

This means persecution through:

• Wars

• Murders

• Massacres

• Stealing property

• Weakening the strength and patience of the saints

These tactics were used by the antichrist papacy to destroy the saints, especially those who rejected:

• Doctrines like not eating meat on Fridays

• Bowing to crucifixes or statues

• Making the sign of the cross

• Attending Mass (not commanded by Christ)

• Observing Corpus Christi and Ash Wednesday

• Honoring “holy days” for the dead

The True Saints of Christ

True saints do not:

• Pray to Mary

• Pray to canonized saints

• Observe Papacy-instituted rituals

They follow God’s commandments and trust in Jesus Christ alone.

Part Three: Daniel 7:25 – “He will think to change times and laws”

Exodus 20:1–5 (God’s commandment against images):

1. And God spake all these words, saying,
2. I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or in the earth beneath, or in the water under the earth.
5. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.
