Why Are People Still Calling Jesus a Baby?
Jesus Christ was born in a manger over 2,000 years ago. So why do people still call Him a baby today? This is not a harmless tradition—it’s an abomination, and one of the greatest forms of blasphemy anyone can commit.
In everyday language, when someone lacks maturity, wisdom, or responsibility, we often say they are “acting like a baby.” So, calling Jesus a baby in the 21st century is not just inaccurate—it reduces Him to a state of weakness and ignorance. It dishonors who He truly is.
How can this be, when Jesus is the eternal Word?
John 1:1 says:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
And verse 14 continues:
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Jesus Christ is not a baby anymore. He is the fullness of wisdom and the eternal God.
Calling Him a baby today—whether through speech, songs, or imagery—is a deep insult. Making images of “baby Jesus” out of plastic, wood, stone, or metal is not reverence. It’s idolatry. These man-made images are not signs of honor but signs of deep misunderstanding and spiritual blindness.
The Call to Repentance
All of these practices—whether in homes, churches, or public spaces—have drifted far from the will of God. Those who continue in them must repent and ask for forgiveness.
How can anyone claim to worship the living God, then reduce Him to a lifeless object of plastic or stone? This is not reverence. It’s mockery.
From Genesis to Revelation, the entire Bible reveals the person and purpose of Jesus Christ—the Savior of the world and Creator of all things in heaven and on earth.
A Biblical Parallel: Ezekiel 8
The vision of the prophet Ezekiel in chapter 8 reflects the seriousness of these offenses.
God showed Ezekiel the “image of jealousy” at the entrance of the temple, and layer by layer, deeper abominations were revealed—idols, creeping things, sun worship, and secret sins done by the leaders of Israel.
