First, below are the false doctrines of the Antichrists
The images tell you exactly what the antichrist do and teach people.
Understanding the Revelation of Jesus Christ About the Antichrist
To understand the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ concerning the most evil person or persons—the antagonist, the enemies, the opposing evil beast of Revelation 13:5–18, and the satanic spirits that have worked in him and his predecessors—we must begin with who the Lord Himself has identified and revealed. This individual is “Linus,” a false disciple in the ministry of Paul, the true apostle of Christ, as shown in 2 Timothy 4:21:
“Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.”
Linus, who hatefully fell away from the truth of the gospel and the doctrine of Jesus Christ, staged his own apostasy and rebellion. He made himself the first bishop of Rome and elevated himself to the position of the first Pope—founding the apostate Roman Catholic Church. In doing so, he became the first Antichrist.
Linus took with him many false disciples from Paul’s ministry and from churches across the body of Christ. These followers knowingly and rebelliously opposed the Lord Jesus Christ. Linus and his people are the adversaries and enemies of Christ. He made himself the infallible head of this apostate church, calling it the Roman Catholic Church.
After his falling away, he changed the first working day of creation and the seventh-day Sabbath to serve his own purposes. He instituted Sunday worship, a day of rest and worship dedicated to himself, and marked it as a sign of his own authority. He demanded worship and reverence on that day as if he were the Lord and Savior of this world.
He also replaced the holy feasts of the Lord with man-made feast days, intended to destroy the appointed times of Christ. Linus was the architect of many of the evils practiced in Roman Catholic churches globally. The Popes who followed him, also Antichrists, carried on his false teachings and destructive doctrines, leading countless people away from the truth.
Their sins have reached up to the Lord Jesus Christ, and now the Lord has made it clear to His churches—and to the whole world—who these Antichrists are. Christ foretold a time when they would be revealed, according to 2 Thessalonians 2:1–12:
Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition… whose coming is after the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonder
Just as Satan fell from heaven (Isaiah 14:13–14) and Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, Linus’s rebellion was premeditated. Though he appeared to be a companion of Paul (2 Timothy 4:21), his heart was far from God. He studied the church’s workings with the intention of turning against it.
The “Restrainer” and the Timing of Apostasy
The term “letteth” is understood here as “restrain”—referring to the power that held back the revealing of the Antichrist. This And these empires were in operations for more than 300 yeas people that letteth were the Roman Empires.
The Deception of Linus and the Start of Apostasy
Linus, under Emperor Titus (not Constantine), presented himself as a bishop but had ulterior motives. He suggested dedicating the first day of the week to the sun goddess and setting it aside as a rest day. These ideas pleased the Emperor and were made into Roman law.
But behind these actions was Linus’s real goal: to rebel against the teachings of Jesus Christ. He took this moment to break away from the true Church and form a new institution—the Roman Catholic Church—based on false doctrines and idol worship.
Linus knew the truth. He had access to Paul’s teachings and the early church. But he twisted and manipulated it. He burned original parchments, rewrote scriptures, and spread deception. He encouraged the worship of Mary, elevated her to divine status, and led people into idolatry—praying to saints, angels, and even the dead.
Linus Compared to Satan and Judas
Just like Satan, who said in his heart, “I will ascend into heaven” (Isaiah 14:13–14), Linus sought power and worship. Like Judas, who betrayed Jesus after being close to Him, Linus betrayed the Church from within. He pretended to be a disciple while secretly working to destroy the faith.
Apostasy Became an Institution
After Linus formed the Roman Catholic Church, he made himself the first bishop of Rome. He instituted idol worship, canonized the dead, invented doctrines like purgatory and limbo, and created a false gospel. He instructed his followers to worship Mary, angels, and saints, undermining the authority of Jesus Christ.
Linus falsely claimed authority over the Church and set the stage for future Popes to claim that Peter was the first Pope—a historical and biblical inaccuracy. He removed and altered scriptures, changing the truth to fit his own narrative.
Final Thoughts
Linus did not simply fall into error; he planned, patterned, and purposed his falling away. He was not a victim of deception—he was its architect. His actions led to centuries of confusion and spiritual harm, and the Roman Catholic Church, as established under him, became the vessel for apostasy that continues to this day.
Jesus warned in John 8:44:
“You are of your father the devil… he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Linus fits this description. His legacy is one of deception, false worship, and rebellion against the truth of Jesus Christ.
