In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth
We offer confessions, repentances, and prayers for forgiveness for all the churches of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the world.
Recognition of Sin and Rebellion
New Testament churches—through the many explanations of the Bible scriptures—now understand the weight and gravity of our sins. Our hearts and minds have been opened to the truth. We have rejected, neglected, and acted rebelliously against the spoken words of our Lord Jesus Christ, which are Christ Himself.
We rejected:
-
His feast days, meant to be holy convocations
-
His Ten Commandments, including the seventh-day Sabbath, which He blessed and hallowed
-
His new year, meant to mark the beginning of the year for us
These rejections are deeply sinful, wicked, and hateful. We are ashamed. We acknowledge these as the greatest sins ever committed by us as a body.
Repentance and Plea for Forgiveness
We need the Spirit of confession and repentance to be poured upon us. With broken hearts and contrite spirits, we say with all sincerity:
We have sinned. We have sinned. We are very sorry.
We denounce all sins, trespasses, unrighteousness, and evil. We repent sincerely, shamefully, and selflessly.
Please, Lord, forgive us. We have realized our guilt. The calamities, shame, and disgrace that have come upon your churches are because of these grave sins.
Corporate Confession
As your servant, whom you have commanded and commissioned to sound this to your churches, I now pray unto the Lord our God and make this confession:
“O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love Him and to them that keep His commandments: We have sinned, and have committed iniquities, and have done wickedly. We have rebelled and departed from your spoken words, your feast days, and your seventh-day Sabbath, which you blessed and hallowed and wrote upon our hearts by the blood of Jesus Christ.”
We did not obey your spoken words, which are the Lord Himself. We New Testament churches have committed abominations by refusing your truth. For many years, we walked contrary to your will. But by your grace, you have given us a chance to confess and repent.
Appeal for Mercy
To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness—even though we have rebelled.
We say again:
-
We are deeply sorry.
-
We have sinned grievously.
-
Our sins are more than the sands of the seas.
-
This tsunami of sin is unmatched in history.
We should have been condemned, destroyed—but your mercy has kept us alive so we could repent.
Admitting the Church’s Guilt
Yes, Lord, we confess our guilt. The New Testament churches and all categories of your servants have made a shipwreck of your truth. We have sinned willingly, deliberately, rebelliously, and significantly against you.
By your command, I stand in the gap for all the churches of our Lord Jesus Christ and declare that:
-
We have no hiding place for our sins.
-
We have provoked your wrath.
-
We ignored your will and your words.
-
We multiplied offenses and set up abominations.
We now bow the knees of our hearts, acknowledging the shame and heaviness of our sins. Please, Lord, do not be angry with us forever. Do not send us to eternal separation from you in the place of darkness.
God’s Compassion and Revival
You are the Lord of mercy and compassion. Even though we are unfit and unworthy, we ask you to show us goodness, to revive us with the fire inferno of your spoken words.
We will praise you all our lives, like the hosts of heaven praise you daily.
Revive your churches, Lord. Set us free from these sins we have carried for hundreds of years. We repent with the greatest remorse and sorrow. Even as unworthy sinners, we confess and repent sincerely. Please forgive us.
The Condition of the Church
Our sins—both in words and actions—have brought us to this sorry state. Evil has infiltrated your churches:
-
The New Testament churches worship on the 6th day—the mark of the beast from Revelation 13.
-
Leaders behave disgracefully, sinfully, and foolishly.
-
Ungodly, abominable, and unrighteous acts happen on your altars every week.
The gatherings called churches have become places of:
-
Power struggles
-
Fame and division
-
Supremacy and self-promotion
Shepherds who should protect the sheep have become ravening wolves. The hearts of servants and saints are divided. Brothers seek to destroy brothers over authority, money, and lifestyle.
Your altars have become boxing rings. Pastors and prophets fight each other. Members fight for church possessions. Churches are choosing leaders based on material gain, not spiritual growth.
A Final Plea
Most of your servants now act mischievously, wickedly, and disgracefully in your temples. They perform every evil under the sun. The church is no longer pleasing to you.
Because we didn’t listen to the Holy Spirit—who was meant to guide us into all truth (John 16:13)—we have despised your spoken words and, by extension, rejected you, Lord Jesus Christ.
This has led to:
-
False church leaders
-
False teachings
-
Ungodly conduct across the world
Lord, we repent. With sadness, regret, and broken spirits, we plead for your forgiveness. We have sinned terribly. But we now repent sincerely and wholeheartedly.
Conclusion
We understand now the gravity of our sins. We acknowledge the evil and destruction we’ve brought into your churches. But we come humbly, seeking your forgiveness and your mercy. Please, Lord Jesus Christ, forgive us.
Let your revival come. Heal your churches. Cleanse your altars. Restore your people.
We are very sorry. Amen.
