The Times and Calendars:

The times were changed by the Julian calendar, but the Gregorian calendar made amends by adding back the ten days that the Julian calendar had dropped. This correction was made in 1582 by Pope Gregory, introducing what we now call the Gregorian calendar. These popes acted as though they had divine authority, modifying the calendar as if they could change God’s time. However, this has never affected the biblical calendar.

The week in use at the time of Christ is the same as the one we follow today. Nothing has been lost. Sunday remains the first day of the week as God ordained at creation, and Saturday is still the seventh day. One might ask about the different time zones and locations like America and other countries. The answer is simple: every country still has Saturday and Sunday.

God’s Calendar and Feasts:

God, the Creator of days, months, and years, said in Genesis 1:14:
“And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.”

This is exactly why God’s feast days, the New Year, and the Sabbath are fixed. God is not the author of confusion. Everything He created was accurate, perfect, and must be obeyed forever. As Paul the Apostle said in 2 Thessalonians 2:3:
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition (the antichrist).”

The Role of the Papacy:

The Papacy claims such great authority and power that it assumes the right to modify, interpret, and even override divine laws. In the Catholic Catechism, God’s Ten Commandments were altered—the tenth was split into two, and more alarmingly, the fourth commandment (God’s 7th-day Sabbath) was shifted to the sixth day in violation of Leviticus 23:14.

Part Four of Daniel 7:25
“And they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

This refers to worship on the sixth day of the week. Daniel 4:25 speaks of King Nebuchadnezzar’s period of seven years, described as “seven times.” In prophetic reckoning, 360 days make a year. So, three and a half times equals 1260 days, symbolizing the duration of Papal supremacy as predicted by God.

Though the Pope was taken by the French army under General Berthier on February 10, 1798, the doctrines he introduced—including sixth-day worship—continue today. Anyone worshipping on the sixth day aligns themselves with Papal decrees, violating God’s authority.

John 14:15: “If ye love Me, keep My commandments.”
Where is the love for Christ, who died and shed His blood, if we ignore His commandments?

There’s nothing legalistic about keeping the seventh-day Sabbath. It involves no rituals or animal sacrifices. God’s feast days and New Year were set before the foundation of the world for both Gentile and Jewish believers.

The Holy Spirit’s Role:

Jesus Christ, the Almighty God, left His glory. The Holy Spirit remains on the throne, unseen but all-powerful. Even John, who wrote the Gospel, epistles, and Revelation, did not see the Spirit directly in heaven. The Holy Spirit is the source of Scripture, omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient.

He knew we would violate the Sabbath and thus said, “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” This was to set His saints apart from the world.

John 17:14: “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”
Believers have not fully grasped the importance of God’s commandments, feasts, and New Year. These are symbolic and meaningful to God alone, expressing His love beyond human understanding.

God’s Wisdom in Creation:

Look at the technology we’ve created using God’s wisdom: fans, kettles, microwaves, cookers, TVs, radios, laptops, fridges, phones—all powered by one source of electricity. If human wisdom can produce so much, how much more the wisdom of God?

Exodus 31:1–6 shows how God gave wisdom and skill for craftsmanship and obedience to His commands.

Obedience and the Christian Identity:

Remember what Christ endured to set us free from sin. What greater honor is there than being set apart for Him? Yet we celebrate worldly feasts while claiming God’s commandments are “only for the Jews.”

John 17:20: “Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on Me through their word.”
Faith in Christ is personal. Jesus said, “Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.”

Do you really want to follow a man—worshipping on Sunday—who knowingly and deceitfully changed the Lord’s Sabbath?

The Papacy’s False Claims:

The titles used by the Popes originate from the Latin “vicarius,” meaning deputy or substitute. But the claim that Peter was the first Bishop or Pope is entirely false and unbiblical.

Matthew 16:18–19 is often quoted:
“Thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church.”
However, the “rock” refers to Christ Himself, not Peter.

1 Corinthians 10:4: “And the Rock was Christ.”
Jesus called Peter “Cephas,” meaning a small stone—not the foundational Rock.

Peter was never a superior bishop. He was rebuked by Paul (Galatians 2) and referred to himself simply as a fellow elder. The idea of apostolic succession is built on assumptions. It took 400 years for Leo I to formally define the Papacy as we know it.

Conclusion:

The Roman claims of Papal authority, from Leo I to today, remain baseless. Too many assumptions and misreadings of Scripture weaken their argument. The Papacy was built not on biblical truth but on tradition, power, and error.

The church of Jesus Christ is not defined by man-made titles or institutions. It is made up of those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, cleansed by His blood, and obedient to His Word.

Jesus said in Matthew 16:18:
“Upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
This rock is Christ—not Peter.

John 1:42: “Thou art Simon… thou shalt be called Cephas,” which means “a stone.”

Let no one deceive you with false claims. The true Church belongs to Christ alone.
