PART 7: Antichrists revealed by Christ – Enmity of the antichrists towards Christ

Summary of Empires and Transition:

• From the Sumerians to the Medo-Persians, many fell to the Babylonians.

• Medo-Persia and Greece followed, then were conquered by Rome, the eighth and final empire.

• Rome, with its origin in Carthage, birthed the Bishop of Rome, from whom came the Papacy—the final earthly power.

• The Papacy ruled not by force, but through false religious teaching, idolatry, manipulation, and diplomacy, turning hearts away from Christ.

THE ANTICHRISTS TAUGHT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH TO WORSHIP IDOLS — SEEING IS BELIEVING

The Almighty God’s words say clearly:

Exodus 20:3
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.”

Exodus 20:4
“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.”

Exodus 20:5
“Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me.”

However, starting with Linus, the first corrupt Bishop of Rome, who led the early falling away from the truth of Jesus Christ, the Roman Catholic Church began to teach idol worship. Linus is identified as the beast of Revelation 13, the first bishop (Pope) of the Roman Catholic Church, and the one who introduced false teachings requiring all Catholic members—from Popes down to laypeople—to worship idols.

Some people claim Catholics do not worship Mary. This page is meant to prove that claim false.

The Roman Catholic Church’s Catechism removed God’s clear second commandment, which forbids idol worship, and instead split the tenth commandment into two, filling the gap created by this omission.

God’s warnings against idolatry include:

Leviticus 26:1
“You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the LORD your God.”

Exodus 20:4–5
“You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God.”

Yet, the antichrists go against God’s words. The Catholic Church has many graven images and idols—statues of baby Jesus, Jesus on the cross, Mary, Peter, and others. Popes and Catholics bow to these statues and pray to them.
