Jesus came to shed His light as the creator of The Sabbath and all things in heaven and earth. Since Christ the creator, he is the only power to shed light to it and make the burden of the Sabbath lighter instead of a rest with idleness. Christ said it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath, (I.e. doing God’s works but he did not abolish the Sabbath.)
To make a heavy load lighter does not remove the load completely; Christ did not nail the Ten Commandments to the cross but all the ceremonies ordinances I.e. killing of animals for sacrifices. Another way of putting it is, Christ came to rearrange the law of The Commandment, Matthew 12:12. He made it lawful to do good on the Sabbath day; at no time did he abolish the 4th commandments or any of The Commandments.
In Matthew 22:37: Jesus repeated the First commandment that we should love God with all our heart, (I.e. by doing what God says we should do.) Jesus said, “Thou shall love thy Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with thy entire mind”. If we actually love God as Christ explained above, we will obey His Entire Commandment; ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandment and abide in His love”. He also said that “if ye love me, keep my commandments”. My question to you is. Where is the love of Christ, if we do not obey His commandments, although we have the faith of Jesus Christ? Where is it?
Jesus said, in John 15:10, “If ye keep my commandments, y abides in my love”. This tells us that our faith in Jesus Christ and keeping of His commandments cannot be separated at all. Not one without the other as the Holy Spirit will direct you to Revelation 14:12, which says: “Here is the patience f the Saints, here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.”
We can see clearly that Ten Commandments are to be kept forever and ever. Revelation 11:19 states: “ And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testaments.” To walk in His grace is to follow the will of God ( I.e. to obey His commandments which are still there in heaven and have not changed since its institution).
