The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
The second coming of Jesus Christ will happen only once. He will take with Him all those who have truly, sincerely, and honestly accepted Him as their Lord and Savior, and who have continuously done His will in all things.
Those who obey His commandments (John 11:15) will be taken. The commandments of Christ are broader than just the Ten Commandments. Jesus summed them up as: love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbor as yourself. True believers in Jesus Christ obey all His words, whether written or spoken by the Holy Spirit (John 15:1-12).
John 15:1-12 (Selected Verses)
- “I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit… Abide in me, and I in you… If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love… This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
If you love Jesus, keep His commandments. These include faith and the works of faith (James 2:1-26).
James 2:1-26 (Selected Verses)
- “Faith without works is dead… Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?… For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”
These are the words of Jesus Christ through James, one of the apostles. Some who claim to be Christians are only nominal, refusing to do the will of Jesus Christ and not abiding in Him. Some even deny the Ten Commandments, claiming they are obsolete (Matthew 5:16-48).
Matthew 5:16-48 (Selected Verses)
- “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven… Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil… Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven…”
All the above are the true words of Jesus Christ. Those who believe the Ten Commandments are obsolete should ask the Holy Spirit for enlightenment in Jesus’ name.
