According to the Revelation That the Lord Jesus Christ Showed Me About Rome, the False Prophet
The Interpretation of Daniel’s Visions: Gentile Kingdoms
By the Holy Spirit, I was made to understand that the two interpretations of Daniel chapters two and seven describe the same Gentile kingdoms on this earth.
-
Daniel Chapter Two describes the head of gold as Babylon.
-
Daniel Chapter Seven describes the same Babylon as a lion with two wings.
The lion was the emblem or symbol of Babylon during its peak as a powerful Gentile kingdom that conquered the Akkadian Empire, which ruled before Babylon. Many wrongly consider Babylon the first Gentile ruling power, but the Akkadian Empire was the first.
Successive Kingdoms:
-
Medo-Persia
-
In Daniel 2: chest and arms of silver.
-
In Daniel 7: a bear that conquered Babylon.
-
-
Greece
-
In Daniel 2: brass.
-
In Daniel 7: a leopard who conquered Medo-Persia.
-
-
Rome
-
In Daniel 2: legs of iron, feet of iron and clay.
-
In Daniel 7: a dreadful fourth beast with iron teeth and ten horns.
-
Daniel 7:7-8 describes this beast as terrifying and strong, with ten horns. Among these horns, a little horn appears with eyes and a mouth speaking great things, uprooting three others.
Understanding the Fourth Beast: Rome
This fourth beast destroyed the three previous Gentile kingdoms and took on their characteristics—the lion, bear, and leopard—as seen in Revelation 13:2:
“And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like a bear’s, and his mouth like a lion’s…”
This is the real Rome, which adopted the emblems of the kingdoms it conquered. According to the Lord, Rome’s nativity was Carthage. The beast rising from the sea represents Rome, born from many nations and peoples (the sea symbolizing many tongues and nations). Rome’s founders, Romulus and Remus—twin brothers from Carthage—began with humble origins but grew to establish Rome as the capital of Italy.
Rome became a ruthless empire, ruling mercilessly. It destroyed Jerusalem and oppressed God’s people, the Jews, forcing heavy taxes they could not afford.
The Wounded Beast and Its Legacy
Revelation 13:3 states:
“And I saw one of his heads as if it had been wounded to death, and his deadly wound was healed; and all the world marveled and followed the beast.”
Rome was fatally wounded when its greatest ten empires were conquered. The ten horns of Daniel 7 represent the ten divisions of the Western Roman Empire:
-
Alemanni (modern Germany)
-
Ostrogoths (uprooted by the Papacy around A.D. 538)
-
Visigoths (destroyed by the Papacy)
-
Franks (modern France)
-
Vandals (uprooted by the Papacy around 534)
-
Suevi (modern Portugal)
-
Burgundians (modern Switzerland)
-
Heruli (destroyed by the Papacy)
-
Anglo-Saxons (modern England; left the EU but still trades)
-
Lombards (modern Italy; conquered by various kingdoms)
These empires were destroyed but left a legacy, which today we see as the European Union. The Lord revealed that this union will not last. Despite efforts, the EU will never unify strongly and will be destroyed because it is rooted in evil.
The Origin of Rome and Its Rise
Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus from Carthage, who sought a rich settlement along the Tiber River. Romulus killed Remus in envy and became the first king, making Rome strong and warlike. Rome conquered many nations, bringing wealth and people from across the world, eventually becoming the capital of Italy.
Italy and Rome both trace their origins to Carthage. Rome grew powerful, ruthless, and ruled over many nations until it was destroyed by stronger powers.
Prophecy of Rome in Revelation
Revelation 17:11-13 speaks of Rome and its ten horns:
“The beast that was, and is not, is also an eighth, and is of the seven, and goes to perdition. The ten horns are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but receive power with the beast for one hour. These have one mind and will give their power to the beast.”
This refers to the revived Roman Empires, known today as the European Union, which will eventually give their power to the beast (the Antichrist) but will ultimately be destroyed.
Summary of the Ten Revived Roman Kingdoms (European Union)
-
Alemanni (Germany)
-
Anglo-Saxons (England)
-
Suevi (Portugal)
-
Lombards (Italy)
-
Franks (France)
-
Burgundians (Switzerland)
-
Ostrogoths
-
Visigoths
-
Heruli
-
Vandals (destroyed by the Papacy)
God’s Sovereignty Over History
It is important to remember that God created the world and knows His creation better than anyone. The revelation about Rome, Italy, and the European Union was given by the Lord Himself, revealing truths hidden from many historians.
The Atrocities of Rome Against the Lord Jesus Christ
The Roman Empire was responsible for great evils against our Lord, as recorded in the four Gospels.
The Rage of Herod to Kill Baby Jesus
From the King James Bible (Matthew 2:1-11):
-
Wise men came from the East asking about the “King of the Jews.”
-
Herod was troubled and tried to find Jesus to kill Him.
-
Wise men found Jesus, worshipped Him, and gave gifts.
This shows the early opposition Rome and its leaders had toward Jesus and His kingdom.
