1. The Removal of God and Christ from Language
Christian now becomes “Ian” or “Chris.”
“Christ” is completely cut out.
Common phrases are altered:
-
“God bless you” becomes simply “Bless you.”
-
But who is blessing?
Even among the saints of our Lord Jesus Christ, God’s name is deliberately removed.
There are many more cases where God or Christ is taken out completely.
2. The Role of John the Baptist
Baptist churches all over the world must read the sincere testimony of John the Baptist about his role in the house of God.
John the Baptist died for the word and work of Jesus Christ, but he did not die for the churches that Christ Himself bought with His precious blood when He died on the cross for the remission of sins.
(See Genesis 9:4 – “For the life of the flesh is in the blood.”)
Let us remind ourselves what John said while baptizing at the Jordan River. He made it clear:
-
He was not Christ
-
He did not own a church
Gospel of John 1:15–36 (Summary of Key Verses):
“He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for He was before me.”
“Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.”
“I am not the Christ.”
“I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not.”
“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
“This is the Son of God.”
3. Ownership of the Church of Christ
-
The Church of Jesus Christ belongs to no one: not to any person, nation, city, or even the world.
-
All names created by mankind to label Christ’s churches are false and must be rejected.
Read the Epistles of Paul, such as “The Churches at Corinth,” and Revelation 2 and 3 for how the churches are named.
4. The Rise of Falsehood: Linus and the Papacy
-
Linus, the first Bishop of Rome, fell away and made himself the first Pope.
-
He named the churches of Jesus Christ the Roman Catholic Church, filled with falsehood and abominations.
-
Removing “Roman” from the name does not change what it is.
The papacy separated itself from the true Church of Christ, fulfilling the prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2:1–17:
