The “twelve tribes” plainly include all believers. (1, Romans 9:6; Galatians 6:16; 2, Revelation 1:7)
These are the multitudes that came out of the great tribulations. When the angel told John that these are “ multitudes” this word originated from the blessings that God poured upon Abraham, Isaac and Jacob thus:

2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.
5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.
6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee

2 And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:
3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;
4 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; From reading through this book. Readers you can see that the blessings that the Almighty Lord bestowed upon Abraham, Isaac and Jacob included these words, a company of nations or or many nations, which many translators write as multitudes of nations. It was the same word ( multitudes) that John used to describe the all saved and sealed saints of Jesus Christ by saying: revelation 7.9
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
