The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.Â
And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.Â
And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long [season], because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.Â
And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked [him], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.Â

And Herod was highly displeased with them of Tyre and Sidon: but they came with one accord to him, and, having made Blastus the king’s chamberlain their friend, desired peace, because their country was nourished by the king’s [country].Â
And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.Â
