ROME: The False Prophet Revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ
Introduction
This message is not based on speculation or tradition, but on what the Almighty Lord Jesus Christ personally revealed to me—Juliana JooSabba—through visions, dreams, and His audible voice. Rome is the true and real false prophet. This revelation is a warning to all the saints of Jesus Christ and all who desire to understand the spiritual realities behind history.
A Brief History of Rome
Rome began as a small and insignificant town, yet its origins remain unclear. Many historians and scholars have tried to uncover the truth, but no one can fully explain its beginning—except God. The Almighty alone knows the full story of Rome from its beginning to its end.
Rome was founded on seven hills, a counterfeit of Jerusalem, and was surrounded by the Tiber River. Tradition says it was founded in 753 BC by Romulus and Remus. From humble beginnings, Rome grew to become vast, powerful, and influential, expanding under the reign of seven kings. However, tyranny led to the people rejecting monarchy and establishing a republic.
Initially, only aristocrats held power, but over time, common citizens demanded and gained their rights, leading to shared governance. Rome expanded beyond Italy and into much of the known world. In 190 BC, Rome clashed with Asia for the first time, defeating King Antiochus of Syria and taking control over parts of Asia Minor. Many of Rome’s later conquests were more political than military—nations accepted Roman dominance willingly.
In 63 BC, Pompey conquered Judea, reducing it to a Roman province. Internal political struggles led to a power triangle between Pompey, Crassus, and Julius Caesar. After Crassus died and Pompey was defeated, Caesar seized power, only to be assassinated in 44 BC. Rome’s political chaos continued until Octavian (later Augustus) took control and started the Roman Empire.
It was during Augustus’ reign that Jesus Christ was born. Under Tiberius, Jesus was crucified. Other emperors such as Claudius, Nero, and Domitian continued Rome’s role in persecuting Christians and distorting God’s plans. The destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70 by Titus fulfilled Christ’s prophecy (see Matthew 24; Mark 13; Luke 21).
At its height, the Roman Empire stretched over 3,000 miles east to west and 2,000 miles north to south, housing around 120 million people. But corruption from within and attacks from outside led to its downfall. In 395, the empire split into eastern and western parts. In 476 AD, Rome was captured by the Goth king Odoacer, marking the end of its civil power.
Rome’s War Against God and His People
While Rome’s political power declined, the influence of Christians grew. Unlike other conquered peoples, Christians refused to mix their faith with Roman paganism and idol worship. As a result, they were persecuted brutally.
Under Nero, Christians were blamed for the great fire of Rome. Under Domitian, persecution continued. Still, the Church grew. Eventually, the Roman Empire accepted Christianity—but not in truth. In 321 AD, Emperor Constantine declared Christianity the state religion, but this was mixed with Roman paganism.
Rome treated the nations it conquered harshly. Ironically, the whole world still lives under Roman systems: calendars, days of the week, and even the way we measure years. These were changed in direct contradiction to God’s instructions. The brightness of God’s truth was darkened, but God will reveal His glory again.
The Roman Calendar vs. God’s Order
Rome changed God’s original design:
-
God gave the days as: First Day, Second Day… up to the Seventh Day.
-
Rome renamed them: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc., in honor of Roman gods.
-
God’s months were never 28, 30, or 31 days long. Rome adjusted them to suit its emperors and gods.
-
Roman months: January (31), February (28/29), March (31), etc.
These are not found in the Bible, and they contradict the order given in Genesis.
The Papacy and the Apostasy
The Roman Bishop, later known as the Pope, led a great falling away from the true Church of Jesus Christ. He convinced Constantine to dedicate Sunday to the sun god—popular among Romans—as a rest day. This was done under false pretenses, hiding his real goal: to lead people away from God.
This gave rise to the Roman Catholic Church, an institution that carried forward Rome’s paganism under a Christian name. Rome became the mother of apostasy, and the Papacy—the Antichrist—emerged as its spiritual child. Together, they are the two beasts revealed in Revelation, spiritual offspring of the dragon, Satan.
The Pope’s influence grew until he ruled over Rome and Italy through deceit and manipulation. While Rome and the Papacy appear as two, they are united in their rebellion against God, operating with different methods but the same goal.
