The evil Sunday worship is mark of the beast according to our Lord Jesus Christ

Historical Fulfillment

Linus, acting through the Bishopric of Rome and later the papacy, implemented these changes during the reign of Emperor Constantine around 321 AD:

• The seventh-day Sabbath was replaced by Sunday.

• The church was reorganized under the papacy to align with Roman interests.

• Idolatrous practices were instituted under the guise of religious observance.

This “falling away” fulfilled the prophecy in Daniel 7:25 and 2 Thessalonians 2, marking Linus as the leader of an apostate church established in opposition to Christ.

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Just as God Almighty had planned, patterned, and purposed, He used the evil opportunity of the Bishop’s “falling away” from the true church of Jesus Christ. The foundation of the true church is Jesus Christ, the Almighty Lord, the “ROCK.” Jesus Christ now wants His true church to know that this Bishop, after his falling away, founded a church and named her the Roman Catholic Church, thereby completely alienating himself and his followers from the true church which Christ Jesus founded and handed over to the Apostles.

Then Linus, the Bishop of Rome, confirmed this rebellion by claiming that Apostle Peter was their first Bishop and that the Roman Catholic Church was built upon him—a claim many scholars consider a misinterpretation of Matthew 16:18. The evil Bishop planned to oppose Jesus Christ so that the apostate Bishop could entirely fall away from the true church of Christ Jesus and make himself ruler of Rome. Emperor Constantine, unaware of the Bishop’s evil intent, agreed unconditionally.

As part of this plan, “Sunday” was eventually dedicated to the Roman “sun god,” pleasing the Roman Empire. Through flattery, deception, and sorcery, the apostate Bishop elevated himself to the position of Pope and established the worst false religious system, with idolatry, feast days, paganism, and numerous abominable laws. He declared himself Infallible, took the titles His Holiness, Holy Father, Successor of Peter, and Vicar of the Son of God, and founded Vatican City, a state within the City of Rome but outside Rome’s government, giving him autonomy and supreme authority over the Roman Catholic Church worldwide.

This apostasy influenced countless other churches to adopt names contrary to God’s commandments, such as Methodist Churches, Baptist Churches, Churches of England, Apostolic Churches, Kingsway Churches, Church of the Latter-Day Saints (Mormon Churches), and many others. Bishop Linus rebelled against Almighty God and His commandments with stubbornness and hatred, fulfilling the prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 regarding the “falling away” and the Man of Sin, the Son of Perdition, exalting himself above all that is called God.

The 7th-day Sabbath, established by God in Genesis 2:1-3, was replaced with Sunday worship, which the Papacy declared as a day of rest, contrary to God’s command. The Bishop claimed authority to change God’s laws, remove books from the Bible, and alter sacred ordinances, presenting himself as the Vicar—a mere man to be adored as God on earth. This act was utterly false, anti-God, and invalid.

God has revealed through His prophets that Sunday worship is the mark of the Papacy, associated with the title Vicarious Filii Dei, and that the Papacy is the true beast, apostate, and the Antichrist, while Rome is the False Prophet (Revelation 13). The “falling away” of the Bishop and the Roman Catholic Church has fully decentralized Christ’s church and established the Papacy as the greatest enemy of Christ.

Through this revelation, God commands His saints to cease participating in the Papacy’s Sunday worship (Revelation 18:4). He has abolished the Sunday law and all the Papacy’s feast days permanently, judged the evil beasts described in Revelation 17 and 18, and will destroy Satan’s dark kingdom entirely. God will restore His churches as Christ’s heritage, blameless and prepared for His kingdom in the heavens and on earth.

May God grant wisdom, knowledge, understanding, revelations, visions, and dreams to discern the deceitfulness of Satan, the Papacy, the Antichrist, and Rome. He calls His churches to turn fully to Him. Accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is essential for salvation; refusal to believe results in eternal separation from God (John 16:9). The world must recognize this truth and turn to God to avoid sin and eternal death.

These reverend fathers acted under the authority of the Papacy. They translated the Bible according to instructions given by the apostate Papacy, which commanded them to omit, destroy, add, and change some of God’s words. They introduced incorrect interpretations, wrong meanings, altered dates, times, and even people’s ages, all to confuse the saints of Jesus Christ.

The same evil Papacy, through Satan, also added to the words of the apostles regarding God’s laws. They rewrote these words in a way that would convince the saints and effectively eliminate God’s commandments from the writings of the apostles throughout the Bible. For example, the Roman Catholic Church claims that Jesus Christ died on what they call Good Friday and rose on Sunday, yet this does not align with the 72 hours Jesus Himself predicted, as confirmed in the book of Jonah: three days and three nights in the belly of the fish. Likewise, in the Gospel of John, chapter five, the Passover of God was wrongly attributed as a feast of the Jews, among other distortions throughout Scripture.

But God, knowing that evil people would tamper with His words, gave the Holy Spirit to guide His saints. Despite the Papacy’s attempts to remove the commandments and truth of God from the Bible, the Holy Spirit ensures that believers can know the very words of God. This Spirit gives the saints power over Satan and his followers to discern the truth of Scripture.

This is the power of the saints over Satan:

John 16:7-16

7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
8 And when he comes, he will reprove the world of sin, and righteousness, and judgment:
9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
10 Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;
11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.
12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he shall shew you things to come.
14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

Satan disregarded these words of Christ and bent his life to destroy all the commandments of God.

Lord, cleanse me, all my God-given seeds, and our consciences from all evils from this day forward. Please, Jesus Christ, deliver Your churches from the wicked hands of Satan, Rome, the apostate Papacy, and worldliness. Prepare Your churches by Your power, through the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.
