1. Admonition to the Rich
-
Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
-
Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
-
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
-
Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
-
Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
-
Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
-
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
2. Corruption in the Churches of Christ
To you, the ravening wolves and the money and war mongers, the robbers. Idolatry, adulterous practices, adulterers and adulteresses of the churches of Christ. All the false preachers and writers of unending books that they sell to the saints of our Lord Jesus Christ in the pretended propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ but they spend the money that they get in their luxurious lifestyle, who have turned the churches of Christ into “supermarkets” or “buy one get one free.”
The churches of Christ have they turned into “book shops,” to the extent that the bibles are not read and studied as they should be. Authors of unending books have turned believers from searching deep into the Bible by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. Ah! AH! AH! Jesus Christ, to what have we turned your churches… to human-owned churches all over the world.
3. Lessons from Thessalonica
When the people of Thessalonians hated Paul and Silas, after Paul preached to them (Acts 7:10–11):
-
And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.
-
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
But today, in the churches of our Lord Jesus Christ, all abominable things have been done in the houses of God. Leaders sell their own books to the saints and cumber them with merchandise, leaving no time for God’s word. The saints have no time to search through the scriptures because evil servants have distracted them with their own books, merchandise, and false Salvation teachings.
They preach philosophy, perform false healings, and now promote seed-sowing messages, promising God will multiply what is given, yet neglect teaching the proper observance of God’s feasts and commands. God’s feasts, decreed before the foundation of the world, are to set apart believers from the works of Satan and the world.
The precious, powerful, healing word of God is not manifest in our midst because of these evil preachers, con-artist pastors, apostles, evangelists, bishops, archbishops, and founders of churches. Hypocrisy and gift-giving have replaced true spiritual growth. The churches of the apostles increased by the power of God, not by human schemes or gifts.
4. Warning from James
James 4:1–4:
-
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
-
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
-
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
-
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
5. The Example of the Early Church
The first churches in the book of Acts and the reactions of the believers (Acts 2:47):
“Praising God, and having favour with all the people.”
Who on earth can add to the churches of Jesus Christ? Nobody but Jesus Christ Himself. The mighty power of God added those that needed to be saved. This is marvelous in our eyes. God alone can add to the churches (Acts 2:47).
1. Condemnation of the Rich and Corrupt
-
Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you.
-
Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
-
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
-
Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.
-
Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
-
Ye have condemned and killed the just; and he doth not resist you.
2. Exhortation to Patience and Warning Against Greed
-
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
-
To you, the ravening wolves and the money and world mongers, the robbers, idolatry, adulterous practices, adulterers and adulteresses of the churches of Christ.
-
All the false preachers and writers of unending books that they sell to the saints of our Lord Jesus Christ, pretending to propagate the gospel but using the money for luxurious lifestyles, turning churches into “supermarkets” and “book shops.”
-
The saints have no time to search the scriptures because of these evil servants. They preach philosophy, false healings, and false sowing seed messages. Many pastors collect money as seed sowing for all the feasts of God but do not instruct their congregations to observe the feasts as God decreed.
3. The Corruption of Modern Churches
-
The precious, powerful, healing word of God is not present in the churches of Christ due to the evil practices of pastors, apostles, evangelists, bishops, and founders who adopt worldly methods and hypocrisy.
-
The apostles in the book of Acts grew the church by the power of God, not by gifts to draw people for tithes.
-
All servants of the Lord fight for wealth, forgetting James 4:1-4:
-
From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members?
-
Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
-
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
-
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
4. Original Apostolic Practices and the Fivefold Ministry
-
“And the Lord added to the churches daily such as should be saved.”
-
The fivefold ministry that started the churches of Jesus Christ—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11-12)—is no longer active or emphasized today.
-
Apostolic practices and the ways churches should conduct themselves are buried and forgotten.
5. Blasphemy and Misrepresentation of Jesus Christ
-
More blasphemous words are spoken in churches today, such as calling Jesus Christ “Baby Jesus” during Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day.
-
These representations—plastic images, molten figures, and man-made mangers—violate God’s command in Exodus 20:4.
-
The false Jesus does not grow, unlike our Messiah, who was born a baby, grew to full manhood, and shed His blood for our sins.
6. Misuse of Scriptures and Church Practices
-
Servants of the Lord write endless books sold to saints at high prices to fund their luxurious lifestyles.
-
John 16:7-15 reminds us that the Holy Spirit guides us into all truth, reproves sin, righteousness, and judgment—not the false teachings of men.
7. God’s Words are Eternal and Unchanging
-
Isaiah 55:9-11:
-
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
-
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth thither, but watered the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
-
So shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it.”
-
The first day of creation is God’s working day. Ignoring this and other decreed feasts and Sabbaths violates His commandments (Genesis 1:1-5; 2:1-3; Exodus 8-11; Leviticus 23:1-44).
8. The Call to True Repentance
-
2 Corinthians 10:3-6; 5:7; Hebrews 11:1 remind us to walk by faith, cast down imaginations, and bring every thought into obedience to Christ.
-
We must repent with broken and contrite hearts, return to God’s ways, observe His feasts, Sabbaths, commandments, and the new year as He ordained, and preach the doctrine of Jesus Christ in Spirit and truth.
9. Encouragement and Warning
-
Hebrews 12:1-2:
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.”
-
We cannot reject the spoken words of Jesus Christ regarding His feasts, Sabbaths, new year, and Ten Commandments.
-
God’s first day of creation, holy convocations, and commandments mark a strong separation between His church and the world.
10. Final Exhortation
-
We must repent, repent, and repent.
-
“For our God is a consuming fire.”
