The Great Sin of the Churches
New Testament churches now know for surety that we have gone against the Highest God of all the earth by making the first working day of God’s creation our resting day.
Oh no! What evil have we ignorantly done?
We have sinned against the Almighty God and our Lord Jesus Christ Himself.
We have tried to change the order and purposes of the creation days God entrusted to His creatures.
God’s Unchanging Word
-
Malachi 3:6 – I am the LORD, I change not.
-
Isaiah 55:11 – So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void.
-
John 17:17 – Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
-
Psalm 119:89 – Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.
The creation days of God are settled forever and cannot be altered.
The Mercy of God
If not for God’s grace before the foundation of the world, we would have been doomed.
Romans 8:28-30 reminds us that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
A Call to Repentance
Let us come with our ignorance, shame, rebellious hearts, and greatest remorse.
Let us repent sincerely and wholeheartedly.
Let us ask our Lord Jesus Christ to pour His Spirit of repentance upon us and give us His unending grace.
The Influence of the Antichrist
Following the Footsteps of the Antichrist
We have ignorantly followed in the footsteps of the antichrist, whom our Lord Jesus Christ Himself identified and revealed as the beast of Revelation 13:5-18 — known as the evil Linus.
This evil Linus took God’s first working day of creation and God’s 7th day Sabbath, and presumptuously, heartlessly, rebelliously, and antagonistically combined them as his own resting days — known as 6th day or Sunday worship — and made them his mark of authority.
I strongly repeat that this evil Linus, whom our Lord Jesus Christ Himself identified and revealed as the beast of Revelation 13:5-18, was the evil disciple in the ministry of the apostle Paul, as revealed in 2 Timothy 4:21:
Do thy diligence to come before winter. Eubulus greeteth thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and all the brethren.
The Apostasy of Linus
This evil Linus, who had tasted and known the truth in our Lord Jesus Christ, knowingly staged his own falling away from the truth. Being very evil and with his opposing spirit, he formed an apostasy church called the Roman Catholic Church.
Linus made himself the first Bishop of Rome and thereby elevated himself to the position of the first Pope — the first antichrist of the Roman Catholic Church. He wickedly destroyed some of the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ in the parchments of the apostle Paul, removing and corrupting many truths of the works of the apostles.
False Doctrines and Idolatry Introduced by Linus
-
Added to God’s words in Scripture
-
Introduced idol-making and idol-worship
-
Elevated Mary above our Lord Jesus Christ
-
Declared Mary a co-creator of heaven and earth with Christ
-
Claimed Mary as co-redeemer of salvation
-
Said Mary was conceived without original sin and called her the Immaculate Conception
-
Taught that Mary ascended to heaven
-
Commissioned that Mary’s images be worshipped and adored in Roman Catholic church buildings
These were evil teachings of demons and false doctrines, paving the way for other antichrists (Popes) to follow in rebellion.
Corruption of God’s Words
Linus changed God’s words in Genesis 1:26, replacing God’s true words revealed by the Lord Jesus —
“I the Lord, will make man in my own image and likeness”
— with the phrase “Let us,” altering the meaning compared to Genesis 1:27:
So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
Linus also altered Genesis 11:7, changing God’s true declaration —
“I the Almighty God will go down and confound their language”
— into “Let us go down.”
But God’s own Word shows He alone acted in scattering the people and confounding their language.
God Works Alone in Creation
As written in Isaiah 66:2:
For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.
We, as the called, predestinate, justified, and glorified churches of our Lord Jesus, must tremble at every spoken word of God till eternity, putting all our trust in Him.
God’s First Day: An Unchangeable Command
Genesis 1:5 declares:
And the evening and the morning were the first day.
The Almighty God started His creation works on the first day of the week as His own authentication, wholly dedicated to Himself. No creature — not even the angels of heaven — can tamper with the working days of creation. God commanded the entire world to start their own works on the first day of the week for six days, according to Exodus 20:9:
Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work.
