The unfolding of the misunderstanding of the laws called “covenant” and the “Ten Commandments” in the bible by the Holy Spirit

Many believers in Jesus Christ have either by ignorance or misunderstanding of all the numerous laws in the bible or just a way of neglecting the Ten Commandments which is the words of God which was written in hearts and mind through the blood of Jesus Christ, Romans 8:4 “That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh but the Spirit”. Whatever it is that brought the neglect of God’s commandments of love, the Lord Himself is making the wrongs right by His servant. God made it so clear in the book of Exodus by saying to Moses to put the Ten Commandments inside the ark of covenant, these commandments were written twice with the fingers of God, and at each time, Moses spent forty days and forty nights with no food or drink as you will read in the passages in this article. There two things that most of believers in Jesus Christ are mixing together, the book of the covenant and the Ten Commandments, which should not be.

The book of the covenant put by the side of the ark of the covenant

Let us deal with the book of the covenant, known as the 613 laws that God dictated to Moses as binding for the Israelites or God’s covenant with them, and this numerous laws of which some are with the killing of animals and rituals, known as ceremonial laws and also the wall of partition between the Jews and the Gentiles and a shadow of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for the remission of our sins rather the sins of the world. Known as the ceremonial laws, with all its rituals, which Jesus Christ nailed to the cross, which were the wall of partition between Israel and the heathens. This Jesus Christ nailing them to the cross in order to give way to serve God and Jesus Christ in Spirit and truth John 4:23-24. And all the words of God concerning His feasts days, Ten Commandments and His new year have been separated from all the dross of the ceremonial laws, but not destroyed, for they are the words of God that God commanded Moses to tell the children of Israel. Leviticus 23:1&2

These  613  laws are often cited as the number of commandments in the Old Testament Laws; or the ceremonial laws, however, there is no verse in the Bible that gives 613 as the correct enumeration. There are other counts as well. There is no universal agreement among Jews or Christians that there are exactly 613 laws given by God through Moses, due to the facts that the original scripts or parchments have been destroyed. This is how Moses got the covenant from the Lord Exodus 24:1-8

The account of how Moses got the covenant and how he wrote it as a book

1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.24 :2 And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.24 :3 And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.24 :4 And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.24 :5 And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.24 :6 And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.24 :7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.24 :8 And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.

Moses did not spend much time getting the covenant from God, God dictated them to Moses and Moses wrote them down and became a book, known as the “book of the covenant” You can now see the difference between the book of the covenant and the Ten Commandments

Concerning the Ten Commandments start from Exodus 24:9 as you read along

:9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: 24:10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.24 :11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.24 :12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.24 :13 And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.24 :14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.24 :15 And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.24 :16 And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.24 :17 And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.24 :18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. God commanded Moses to put the Ten Commandments inside the ark Exodus 25:16. the word testimony that was used in this verse was wrong, it is supposed to be the law or commandment that the Lord wrote with His hands twice, which cost Moses forty nights twice on the mount. The book of the covenant or testimony are completely different from the ten commandments. Exodus 31:18; Exodus 32:15, 16; Deuteronomy 9:9, 10, 11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the “covenant.” this verse eleven brought in the wrong word for the table of stone, it is not covenant or testimony but the ten commandments of God according to its usage in Exodus 24: 12. This is a revelation about the wrong interpretation of the word “covenants instead of “ ten Commandments” Exodus 24:12 reads:

12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.” Now you can understand why people are mixed up or confused in differentiating the Ten Commandments from the “ 613 laws of the covenant “ or “the book of covenant”. Unless the Holy Spirit point out to you the mis-interpretations that the Reverend fathers made under the instructions of the Papacy. The clear points of the covenant or book of covenant was dictated to Moses which Moses wrote to make a book

The Ten Commandments were written by God with His fingers twice which cost Moses to spend forty days twice on the mountain of God. All these are explained in this article.

In any calculation of the number of commandments in the Mosaic Law, complications arise. For example, if a command occurs in Exodus and is then repeated in Deuteronomy, does that count as one commandment or two? Further, some laws in the covenant book can be understood as clarifications of other laws rather than laws.

There is some debate as to who first came up with 613 as the number of laws in the book of covenant. The Talmud points to Rabbi Simlai in the 3rd century AD as the originator. However, there is no record of Rabbi Simlai listing all 613 commandments. The most commonly accepted breakdown was done by Maimonides in the 12th century AD. Maimonides further divided the 613 commandments into positive, “do this” commandments, numbering 248, and negative, “do not do this” commandments, numbering 365.

Biblically speaking, whether or not 613 is the correct count is not that important. The purpose of the Law the Ten Commandments was to point us to Christ. Galatians 3:24says, “Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, Then now made the ten commandments more than they were before Jesus Christ by writing them on our hearts through the blood of Jesus Christ. These our hearts are not thethe hearts that the world know. Believers hearts that God wrote the Ten Commandments is the Holy Spirit of God inside us that we might be justified by faith” (NKJV). No one can perfectly obey all the commandments, no matter how many or few there are (Ecclesiastes 7:20Romans 3:23). In fact, no one can even perfectly obey the Ten Commandments. The Law makes our sinfulness evident (Romans 7:7). God gave the Law to define sin and demonstrate our need for a Savior. Jesus is the only one who has perfectly obeyed the Law. Through His life, death, and resurrection, He fulfilled all of God’s righteous commands (Matthew 5:17–18).When God gave Moses these Ten Commandments, there was no blood sprinkled on it, but specifically commanded Moses to put it inside the ark of cvenant

1

And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.

2

And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.

3

And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do.

4

And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.

5

And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD.

6

And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

7

And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

8.

“And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.”

The above is about the book of the covenant that God dictated to Moses which Moses wrote himself and made it to a book known as the book of covenant. This book of covenant is completely different from the Ten Commandments of God, which God wrote twice with God’s fingers

Now from verse 9 of the same chapter, Moses went up the mount the second Tim, where he spent forty days and nights for the Ten Commandments of God, written with the fingers of God. This was broken by Moses when he saw the immorality of Israel sinning against God. As you read along in this article, you will see that God wrote them again.

Exodus 34:1-4

34 :1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakest.34 :2 And be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and present thyself there to me in the top of the mount.34 :3 And no man shall come up with thee, neither let any man be seen throughout all the mount; neither let the flocks nor herds feed before that mount.34 :4 And he hewed two tables of stone like unto the first; and Moses rose up early in the morning, and went up unto mount Sinai, as the LORD had commanded him, and took in his hand the two tables of stone.

Exodus 34:28

28 And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.

9

Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:

10

And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in hisclearness.

11

And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

12

And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

13

And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God.

14

And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.

15

And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.

16

And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.

17

And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

18

And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.

These are the 613 of the covenant that God dictated to Moses, who put it by the side of the ark, never was it inside the ark.

Deuteronomy 31:24, 25, 26

24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,

25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying

King James Bible
Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee

Now we know that the book of covenant was never inside the ark. We need to know what the book of covenant is all about in the book of Hebrews chapter 9:1-

Hebrews 9: 1-28

Then verily the first covenant had also ordinances of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary.

For there was a tabernacle made; the first, wherein was the candlestick, and the table, and the shewbread; which is called the sanctuary.

And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of all;

Which had the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;

And over it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.

Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God.

But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people:

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:

Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;

10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;

12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.

13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:

14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.

17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.

18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.

19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,

20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.

21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.

22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;

26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation

The ten commandments of God

These ten commandments were completely different from all the above laws of the 613 known as the book of covenant.

Now we have finished with the book of covenant which contained in sacrifices and killing of animals for many offerings which was kept by the side of the ark of covenant.

It is time to deal with the Ten Commandments that the Lord wrote twice and kept inside the ark of covenant. This is completely different from the book of covenant and was never part of the book of covenant according to the scriptures

In Exodus 24. 18 And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights. For the Ten Commandments which God wrote with His indelible holy hands or fingers

The giving of the Ten Commandments by God to Moses Exodus 31:40

18: And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. From this verse. it is very plain that the Ten Commandments we’re writing by God and never dictated like the book of covenant. And it took Moses forty days and forty nights with God to get the Ten Commandments.

What happened to the first two tables of the ten commandments? Please read below

Exodus 3232 :1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.32 :2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.32 :3 And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.32 :4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.32 :5 And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.32 :6 And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.32 :7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves: 32:8 They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.32 :9 And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people: 32:10 Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.32 :11 And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 32:12 Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.32 :13 Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.32 :14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.32 :15 And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.32 :16 And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.32 :17 And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.32 :18 And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.32 :19 And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses’ anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.32 :20 And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.32 :21 And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?32:22 And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.32 :23 For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.32 :24 And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.32 :25 And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)32:26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’s side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.32 :27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.32 :28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.32 :29 For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.32 :30 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.32 :31 And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.32 :32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin-; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.32 :33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.32 :34 Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.32 :35 And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

Exodus 24:12

12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. On the above verse, the Lord gave the already written commandment I the two tables of ston to Moses

Exodus 24:22
22
And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

Deuteronomy 5:

The Lord wrote the Ten Commandments twice with His fingers, each time Moses sent forty days and forty nights with the ¶ These wordes the Lord spake vnto all your assembly in the mount out of the midst of the fire, of the cloud, and of the thicke darkenesse, with a great voice, and he added no more, and he wrote them in two Tables of stone, and deliuered them vnto me.

Exodus 34:1:

1 And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou brakes. Moses was told by God to make two stones on which God wrote the ten commandments.

Deuteronomy 5:1-33; 6:1-25

God remained the Israeabout His Ten Commandments what hey should do with it, especially the 7th day Sabbath, 12-15; then Deuteronomy 6:1- and 6-9 the Lord commanded Israel to teach their children when they seatest, when they walked by the way, when they they liest down and when they risest up. In all these scriptures God told the Israelis to teach their children as He had commanded them in 6:1-15. And verse 15, God commanded the Israeli not to tempt Him again as they did at Meriba and Massah. God specifically told Israeli to adhere to the ten commandments verse 17 of chapter 6. Deuteronomy 9:10-11 Moses reminded the Israeli about the Ten commandments. Deuteronomy 11:20 the Lord commanded the Israeli to write the ten comments upon their door post, and upon their gates. Deuteronomy 12:32 don’t add or take from the word of God. In the book of Revelation 11:19 the ark of testament, the showdown of the one that Moses put the ten commandment in the book of exodus was seen in heaven which is the real one waiting for us in heaven for those who did not keep the ten commandments of God, which He wrote on all believers hearts through the blood of Jesus Christ. Our hearts here is not what the world knows as hearts. But our hearts according to God is the Holy spirit of God in all believer’s lives. We are as true believers in Jesus Christ are the Temple of the Holy Spirit

To the real believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Ten Commandments were written in our minds, and hearts through the blood of Jesus Christ Romans 8:4. Though, not the hearts that the world know as hearts but Ten Commandments were inside the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ through the blood of Christ that is in us. Romans 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not in the flesh but in the Spirit
